Terroir al Límit Dits del Terra 2010

(100% carinena, from a vineyard that is reportedly 83 years old and aged in an 1800-liter French oak cask):  Inky violet color.  An explosively perfumed bouquet displays black raspberry, candied cherry, Indian spices and exotic peat and shiso nuances.  Round and lush on the palate, offering sweet red and dark berry preserve flavors that show serious depth.  Becomes spicier with air, picking up cinnamon and allspice notes and finishing with excellent clarity and mounting tannins.
